For the month of July, renowned whip maker Anthony Rennick will be in residence, plaiting his finely crafted whips at the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre. Anthony resides in Wagga Wagga and has travelled up with his wife and daughters who will be displaying their whip cracking skills as part of the not to be missed Stockman’s Show.

Anthony will demonstrate the entire whip making process from cutting the strands out of hide to plaiting tailor made whips to suit customers desires. Anthony has been making whips and leather products for 18 years and is a fine craftsman having learnt from Herb Sefton of Curringo Station as well as R.M. Williams at an R.M. Williams plaiting school.

Anthony has also trained his daughters in leather craft with Megan (14), plaiting belts whilst her father does the whips. Megan will join her sisters, Amy (18), Sarah (16) and Emily (12), for two daily whip cracking shows at the Stockman’s Show at 11am and at the Cattlemen’s Bar & Grill at 12.30pm.

Guests of the Hall are invited to watch and ask Anthony questions as well as request to have their own tailored whip or belt plaited.
