From August to November At Our Table, presented by Q150 and the State Library of Queensland, will host 10 special events that will bring communities together for a banquet, dinner, campfire or picnic.

Join us on the 31st October, and dine in the heart of the outback at the legendary Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre, as we present, ‘The Stockman’, an event to honour the significant contribution of the stockmen and women in the development and growth of the cattle industry in Queensland.

 

The drovers and stockmen of the past 150 years have been instrumental in shaping the landscape of the western corridor. They were responsible for opening up the trading routes of outback Queensland. This event will celebrate their success and enjoy as performers take us through the past 150 years of the stockmen's journey.

 

Organic Beef Exports, (OBE,) are donating the beef for the special event and Frank Correnti will be preparing a wonderful meal for all to enjoy. OBE Beef is 100% owned and operated by Australian organic farmers who are committed to the provision of high quality organic food products and the highest possible standard of food safety for the families of the world. 

 

The event will kick off at 5pm and cost is $25 per person. Come along and try your hand at whip cracking, enjoy the cattle dog display, bush poetry or simply enjoy a billy tea and yarn around the fire.
